Supernova 2020 Nationals cancelled, but it's not all bad news

With significant regret the Supernova Class Association committee have made the difficult decision to cancel the 2020 Nationals at Plas Heli. The Plas Heli centre is closed until 30 June at the earliest which gives insufficient opportunity for either the centre or our members to be able to make plans, and with uncertainty about social distancing rules the committee decided that the event cannot proceed.
We are really disappointed to have to make this announcement, but the safety of our members is paramount. We hope you understand the reasons for the decision and have sufficient time to cancel any accommodation which may have been booked.
However, we are excited to look forward and the committee has been working hard alongside our 2021 National Championship sponsor Hartley Boats to ensure our members are looked after.
The Supernova's 2021 National Championship will be held in Plymouth (Mount Batten Centre) on 2-4th July 2021. This will be our 25th National Championship and we are committed to make it a good one, with an ambitious target of 120 boats on the water, few, if any single handed classes can achieve so many boats in one class.
With the promise of class support through buddy groups, hints and tips, and a healthy dose of socialising, the 2021 National Championships really is something to look forward to.
Whilst current time on the water is more restricted and we are missing our friends and our sport, the Association and Hartley Boats hope that we can look forward to an amazing event next year.
