The RWYC Lonely Rock Race is pleased to announce Spectra Watermakers as our new partner for the Royal Western Yacht Club Lonely Rock Race.

Chris Arscott - Commodore of the Royal Western Yacht Club said: "again, we are very pleased to see a pioneering manufacturer supporting the Lonely Rock Race. We are highly aware of the damage that single use plastics cause to our environment and our oceans. Being the 'Great Britain's Ocean City', we are really pleased that we can support this with the help of Spectra Watermakers".

"Mike Jue - General Manager for Spectra Watermakers in Petaluma, California said: "At Spectra, we are great believers in heritage and vision, and this is why we are proud to be associated with the RWYC Lonely Rock Race. Our products are the most efficient watermakers on the market, which makes it perfect for any sailboat going offshore, be it racing or cruising. In previous years, we've been proud to supply the Volvo Ocean Race fleet with the all-manual Cape Horn Extreme 330 watermaker. The VOR is certainly a challenging test and our Cape Horn 330's didn't miss a beat. We are pleased to donate one Cape Horn 330 to the Lonely Rock Race prizes."

This partnership will ensure that the fleet benefit from a fantastic prize, a Cape Horn Extreme watermaker, used without a single issue throughout the Volvo Ocean Race.

For further advice, information or questions on the Lonely Rock Race please email and one of the race management team would be delighted to respond.
