The sun is out for Day Two of the Harken Virtual Series. Internet signal is fair with no reported problems in the U.K. Race face on.

Day One saw 2046 Iwan Roberts and 2738 Rupert Clapham (yep virtual identities not disclosed in time for the results) storm the leaderboard with two bullets each. Clearly both have used quarantine well to make those gains on the keyboard.

First female after Day One is 1196 Sonia Evans with a 7 and a 2. Given we have two discards in this series out of six races, there is time for Sonia to launch an attack and oust the boys from the top of the leaderboard. With fast races and a swift turnaround between races, she will need to hold her cool to avoid racking up any boat slowing penalties. A boat in slo mo is not a happy sight as 2787 Fin Armstrong can testify.

First Senior is Troy Mitchell with David Batchelor not far behind.

We have blasts from the past enjoying 29er racing once more without the early starts or cold toes. 2545 James Hall is nicely poised for an onslaught on the summit at 5th. James has not forgotten those racing skills honed whilst a 29er sailor.

Meanwhile the Brits aren’t having it all their own way with SWE 15 Marre Westerlind lying 11th with AUS 1877 Ollie Vanderslot at 12th.

Good luck to all our competitors for Day Two. May your broadband be strong.
