New Caledonia Groupama Race postponed

by New Caledonia Groupama Race 6 Apr 2020 06:21 BST From June 2021

As a result of the Covid-19 virus, the 7th edition of the New Caledonia Groupama Race has been postponed to June 2021.

We have made this decision in agreement with our local and international partners in order to protect the health and interests of sailors and partners and maintain the regional and international integrity of the Groupama Race.

The Cruising Yacht Club of Australia postponed also their feeder race, the PONANT Sydney Noumea Yacht Race, to June 2021. Like they did in 2018, we hope New Zealand might propose a race from Auckland to New Caledonia, to coincide with the start of the GROUPAMA Race in 2021.

Stay safe and well and we look forward to welcoming you to paradise next year.
