FINAL SIXTEEN GO HEAD TO HEAD FOR NATIONAL TITLE
After a one day break, the seven non-seeded teams to progress from yesterday's opening round robin in the Chernikeeff RYA National Match Racing Championship Finals at the Royal Victoria Dock will join the leading names tomorrow (Friday)to form the sixteen crews that will fight for the British match racing title over the next three days.
The line up, one of the toughest in the history of the championship, means that the path to the final pairing on Sunday will not be easy but the winning team is assured to be Great Britain's best match racing unit in terms of sailing skill, tactics, teamwork, rules and controlled aggression.
For tomorrow, the sixteen helms have been divided into two equal round robins, League's A & B (where each team races each other) based on their seeding:
LEAGUE A: (with seeding numbers)
1 Andy Beadsworth - defending champion
4 Andrew Cornah
5 Simon Shaw
8 Ian Budgen
10 Dom Johnson
11 Paul Campbell-James
14 Graham Sunderland
15 Jamie Boag
LEAGUE B:
2 Ian Williams
3 Mark Campbell-James
6 Joe Llewellyn
7 Hywel Roberts
9 Leo Dixon
12 Shirley Robertson
13 John Greenland
