Merlin Rocket Class Training 2020 at Parkstone Yacht Club on 2nd May

by Christian Birrell 13 Mar 10:32 GMT 2 May 2020

The Merlin Rocket Class Association are holding their annual training day at Parkstone Yacht Club on Saturday 2nd May 2020, with the Parkstone YC Craftinsure Silver Tiller taking place on Sunday 3rd May.

Lead coach and four times Merlin Rocket National Champion Christian Birrell will be supported by Jon Turner and Sam Brearey as coaching staff for the day. The coaching team have a long list of World, European and National titles to their name, so the training will provide great insight for all levels.

The syllabus will focus on rig setup, boat speed, boat handling and race tactics. There will be a mix of on the water sessions, morning briefings and an evening de-brief. If 2019 was anything to go by, this is one you won't want to miss.

Please sign up early to help Christian and his team plan the day for everyone. See webcollect.org.uk/parkstoneyc/event/merlin-rocket-coaching-and-open-2020

Tell your friends you are going by signing up to the Facebook Event.

We look forward to seeing lots of you there.

Christian and his team.
