The Emirates America's Cup World Series Portsmouth have partnered with Portsmouth's International Port, who come onboard as an Official Supporter and Official Provider of the event's Technical Area, which will be based within their global cargo terminal Portico.

The three international America's Cup teams, Emirates Team New Zealand (NZL), Prada Luna Rossa (ITA) and American Magic (USA) will house their radical AC75 race boats within temporary team bases at the Port, for this summer's racing event (4-7th June). Their 75 foot foiling monohulls - known as the AC75 - will be stored and maintained within their tents and craned in and out for training and racing sessions each day.

The teams will arrive into the UK on a ship on around Monday 18th May, They will join home team, INEOS TEAM UK, for four days of action-packed sailing on the Solent and the teams will depart the Port on Saturday 13th June.

Leslie Ryan, Event Director, Emirates ACWS, on partnering with Portico Shipping and the Port: "We are delighted to partner with Portico Shipping and Portsmouth International Port, who will host the Technical Area for the Emirates Americas Cup World Series Portsmouth."

"The race boats are much bigger and more extreme than in the previous ACWS events we've had here in Portsmouth. The Port has great infrastructure in place and will provide the perfect base for the overseas AC teams in the build-up to and during the event."

The Emirates ACWS race village will be focused around Southsea Castle, with big screens, live race commentary, stage shows and much more across the four days.

Racing will take place off Southsea seafront with a two hour race window each day. There's a host of ticket options on offer from Race Village Fan Zone access to Grand Stand seating and hospitality.

Leader of Portsmouth City Council, Gerald Vernon-Jackson on the event: "For Portsmouth to host both the Emirates ACWS event racing and the visiting teams technical bases is a huge opportunity for the city. We can't wait to showcase what our leading marine and maritime city has to offer."

Mike Sellers, Portsmouth International Port's Director, "We're honoured to be the official provider for the Emirates America's Cup World Series Technical Area. As a thriving port we're glad to play a role in one of the most prestigious global sailing events. These will certainly be some of the more unusual craft we've had berthed alongside our quays and will be a remarkable operation to witness."

"We're looking forward to supporting this world-class event and are sure this will be a memorable experience for everyone involved. While we're proud to be home to INEOS TEAM UK, we'll also make sure our visiting guests receive first-class treatment."
