One lucky boat will win an amazing prize at the Staunton Blaster on 22/23rd February! This year Staunton Harold Sailing Club is offering an amazing prize of 2020 Staunton Harold Sailing Club membership to the highest placed non Staunton boat at this year's Staunton Blaster.

This fantastic prize is open to travelling sailors - double or single handers, adults or juniors. Please see full terms and conditions at the club when signing up on race day.

The Staunton Blaster - Grand Finale of the Midlands Mini Series

The Staunton Blaster is the series final of the first Midlands mini series of 2020. Already sailed; the Notts 'County Cooler' was won by Ogston SC's Martin Honnor (Solo) and The Ogston 'Woolley Jumper' was won by Ogston SC's Gary Knott (Laser). Now it's Staunton Harold's turn to welcome sailors on 22/23 Feb for the last event in the series. And what a series so far! over 15 different classes of boat, over 40 boats taking part across the first two events, the series trophy up for grabs and a dedicated travelling prize for the Blaster.

Subject to conditions there will be five races over two days. Racing will be handicap racing (PY 912/900 and above) average lap and a pursuit race. Dinghies and windsurfers (raceboard) are welcome. Galley will be available on both days with a range of snacks, refreshments and some hot food.

The briefing will be held at 10:45 a.m. on the Saturday, with racing to follow. Sailing Instructions and Notice of Race available here.

Free entry to paid up club members of participating clubs, small fee for travelling sailors

Note that as with 2019, paid up members of the participating clubs (Notts County SC and Ogston SC) will enjoy free entry. Other travelling sailors can enjoy the weekend for just £20 for double handers or £14 for Single Handers (Juniors 1/2 price - Juniors are classified as under 19 as of 31st December 2019).
