What they said:

Michael Beckett (25, Solva, Pembrokeshire), Laser

"I've had a solid day with two fifths. At this stage it's more about avoiding the bad ones than pushing to win every race. In the qualifying races everyone's a bit more spread out so while I've got the tiniest bit of breathing space I'm also trying to make a few technical improvements too - training on the go if you like. The day after tomorrow is when it's really all on, no race here is like the last so I'm really trying to make sure my own skills are up to the job."
