New Weather Station at Yorkshire Dales Sailing Club

As a result of a recent membership survey a high percentage of members, particularly the windsurfer section, expressed a wish for a weather station.

Their wish was granted this week as Tony Dalton received a gift of YDSC glasses and especially labelled 'The Weather Station' bottles of wine. Tony has spent the last few months installing and configuring this state of the art equipment, now linked to the website, Facebook and on the webcams. A 22" screen in the clubhouse allows the members to justify to themselves why it was too windy to sail!

A great job done by Tony with help from Vince Grealy and others. The total cost, as a result of recent innovations in this field, was only £1000. Any club wanting details please contact our website yorkshiredales.sc where you can see the station in action. We are linked to WindGuru so forecasts should be more accurate based on actual data.
