RYA members are being encouraged to spread the word about the benefits of RYA Membership with their friends and family, and throughout February for every new member they refer that signs up they will receive not one, but two special thank you gifts.

Over 112,000 boaters are currently members of the RYA supporting the work of the association protecting the rights and freedoms of members and the UK's boating community.

"Membership is at the heart of everything we do at the RYA and our members are the best advocates to spread the word about the benefits of membership", commented Conor Lee-Swift, RYA Membership Development Manager. "The more members we have the stronger our voice to represent boaters and ensure legislators, regulators and other authorities understand and take account of recreational boating activity.

"The Refer a Friend scheme is a great way for us to recognise our members support in spreading the word about RYA membership. Normally members get a choice of either of the 'thank you' gifts but throughout February we're offering an additional incentive to take part in the Refer a Friend scheme and give them both gifts - so that they don't have to choose a favourite!" Conor added.

As well as supporting the association's lobbying work, members also enjoy access to free boating related legal, regulatory and technical advice from our in-house experts when they need it most. Plus, a whole host of benefits, rewards, discounts and offers from over 80 member reward partners, offering great savings on everything from kit and clothing to holidays and travel. While the quarterly RYA Magazine and regular e-newsletters help keep members up to date with all the latest news and events, advice and tips.
