Porto Montenegro, the Mediterranean's leading luxury yacht homeport and marina village, announces new exciting initiative, the Superyacht Winter Games edition 2020!

The Porto Montenegro ACREW Winter Games 2020 is a two-part sporting and entertainment event for captains and crewmembers, taking place from 7-9th February in Kolasin and from 27-29th March in Porto Montenegro, Tivat.

The event is open to all - from the Porto Montenegro marina crewmembers, to crew from other marinas in the Adriatic and wider Med.

"Across the two weekends, we take keen participants on a mountain sports adventure in Kolasin, with all of the typical snow sports like skiing, snowboarding and snow biking, alongside unconventional "Big Foot" skiing on wooden skis to add a fun and competitive edge to the tournament.", explains Danilo Kalezic, Senior PR and Marketing Manager at Porto Montenengro.

The rural mountain setting offers participants a genuine and authentic Montenegrin gastronomic experience as well as a number of parties at the Ski Centre 1600 to spice up those cold winter nights.

Meanwhile, the coastal Winter Games agenda takes a somewhat different approach, bringing beloved on-water favourites such as sailing, as well as a decathlon, archery, miniature golf, volleyball and more.

"Porto Montenegro has always been focused on the wellbeing of captains and crew by providing a very active calendar of events. Over the year's we have upgraded our Crew Club programme to include Warsash Superyacht Academy Courses, summer weekly BBQs and winter ski weekends. The Porto Montenegro ACREW Superyacht Winter Games is a fantastic winter escape for crew from any location in the Mediterranean. The games provide an opportunity for participants to experience three exciting days in the stunning Montenegrin mountains, and/or on the coast, where they can put their sporting prowess to the test against the other competing teams," comments Tony Browne, Marina Director at Porto Montenegro.

"We are very excited to host this event together with Porto Montenegro. This will be our first event that doesn't include the sea and we believe our crew members will be delighted to have an amazing weekend in the snow with learning and a lot of fun and entertainment," added Onno Ebbens, ACREW director & owner.

Participants prepare for an atmosphere of healthy competition, team building, fun parties, and incredible Montenegrin food at one of the most exhilarating events on the Porto Montenegro winter calendar.

Entries are priced at €100 per person, per edition, covering accommodation, food, sports equipment, instructors, ski passes and airport transfers.

Certainly one of the best parts of this event is the total prize pool of €5,000 for both weekends - winning team on the mountains weekend will be taking €3,000 while the winning team in Tivat will go home with €2,000.
