The Auckland Weta fleet are into recreational sailing as well as racing. Here's three videos from the recreational/racing Weta fleet.

Perfect day for a destination sail to Arkles Bay - Chris, Florentina & Lucette Kitchen

25 knots on Shore Racing - Roger Kitchen

Racing at Torbay Sailing Club in 25 knots on shore which provided some interesting waves to negotiate. All the Weta sailors really enjoyed the challenging conditions. Again the self tacking jib performed flawlessly but the skipper has work to do in the agility department. After watching Pete and Blair win the 49er Worlds nearby I have now fitted twin tiller extensions.

Destination Sail to Motuihe Island

Roger Kitchen's weekend adventure from Narrow Neck beach to Motuihe Island and back with nine other Weta sailors. Gusting low 20's, wind against tide in the Motuihe passage. Self tacker prototype making life easy. Slight mishap at the start getting out to turn the GoPro on!
