Eighteen races were sailed on the Little Broad at Filby, hosted by The Broads Radio Yacht Club.

Racing started in a very light wind from the North, which is the most favourable direction at Filby, but veered towards the east in the afternoon. There were 3 different race winners, during the day, but Colin Goodman (Grunge), Duncan Ellis (Grunge) and Vinnie Zammit (Starkers Cubed) gradually established a lead over the remainder of the fleet.

In the end Colin's consistency won the day, after some very close and competitive racing. Colin has now established a big lead in the GAMES series, but the other podium positions and improver's prize are still to sail for in the remaining 2 events at 3 Rivers and Guildford Model Yacht Clubs.

Analyse the results for the top two sailors, and you realise just how well both sailed Thank you to all the participants for turning up at Chipstead on a beautifully sunny if slightly chilly Saturday morning. It was encouraging that there were 8 different designs from 5 different designers Fog, light winds from the east south-east and the forecast of rain put off 3 of the 14 entries, but those who sailed in the 11 races created some exciting, but frustrating racing and stayed dry as there was no rain. At eight AM the lake was like a smooth mirror, no sign of the forecast North Easterly breeze, but the cold temperature was spot on. At least it was dry. From the start, it was going to be about rig changes and rig choice Datchet hosted the UK Marblehead Ranking 5&6 event over the weekend of November 18-19. Considering that the edge effects of Storm Debi were passing through the area, there were an excellent number of competitors from widespread regions. Racing on the edge of Ilkley Moor, 256 feet above sea level The Weecher Reservoir is situated 256 feet above sea level on the edge of Ilkley Moor.
