This Saturday 26th October sees the final event in the K1's 2019 travellers' trophy. Only two helms have managed to be placed twice in the top three in any of the qualifying events to date, so there is a lot to play for on Broxbourne's tight waters for those involved. The competition will be fierce.
The racing will not start before 11-00hrs, so there will be plenty of opportunity to support Owen Farrell and his England team in the clubroom before we launch. After the last of three scheduled races there will be prize giving for both the Broxbourne K1 trophy and this years' K1 travellers trophy.
The K1 provides a unique proposition a single handed keel boat that is light and easy to move about and to launch. Hull shape and the light weight, both with hull and rig, endow the boat with an excellent performance, plus it is a one design, so the emphasis is on the helm's skill rather than the size of his wallet.
Broxbourne Sailing Club is situate approx. 15 minutes north of Junction 25 of the M25, location details are included in the club's entry in the Yachts and Yachting clubs and classes section. Any sailor interested the K1 or K1 racing will be welcome.
