Lucky winner Chris Everett had a smile on his face last week when Portsmouth-based Raymarine presented him with £3000 worth of marine electronics equipment. Chris, who entered the Raymarine Spring Prize Draw through Practical Boat Owner Magazine, was able to select his own equipment and decided upon Raymarine’s E80 multi-function network display unit, Ray54E VHF radio and RayTech navigation software.
Raymarine’s equipment will certainly be of use to Chris. He is a keen yachtsman and has recently purchased a Bavaria 37 from Opal Marine, the largest single yacht retailer in Europe. Winning the competition has enabled him to update his original Raymarine products. The upgraded kit will improve his navigation/radar information, autopilot performance and enable all data to be available at the chart table as well as at the helm – all of which will come in useful during Chris’ summer cruise with his family and friends.
Fiona Pankhurst, International Marketing Communications Manager at Raymarine, said, “We are delighted to hear that Chris has won Raymarine’s Spring Prize Draw. This is an exciting time for Chris as he is awaiting the completion of his new boat, and Raymarine is thrilled to have been able to add to this by providing him with equipment that will really make a difference to his future sailing experience.”
