The Challenger of Record for the 36th America's Cup, Luna Rossa Prada Pirelli has launched their first AC75 in Cagliari, Sardinia.

The hull is a different design treatment than the first two launched by Emirates Team New Zealand and NYYC American Magic. The bow is reminiscent almost of an IACC yacht, with a very soft treatment, however about a third of the way back a crease starts in the hull which appears, from the video to develop into a bustle coming into a skeg-like structure in the centre of the transom, ending just ahead of the rudder.

Views from astern show and almost wine-glass hull shape with a hollow in the stern sections extending from the centreline to the waterline beam.

The carbon foil arms enter the hull with a dimple treatment similar, but longer than Emirates Team NZ's Te Aihe.

The wings are similar to NYYC American Magic, with shorter wings, and an interesting up-tip, as well as a tapered centre bulb, presumably to get the wings up to the maximum weight

The AC75's deck has a similar sheerline but probably more pronounced than Te Aihe and NYYC American Magic, with the deck being quite flat back to the mast before starting a heavy taper back to the transom.

Further details and images will be posted later today.
