South Windermere Open Frostbite Series - Preview

2019 sees the resumption of the traditional South Windermere Open Frostbite Series, running for the first time out of the new Active Base facilities at Fell Foot.

That means hot showers and underfloor heating in the changing rooms. That means the on shore conditions will be so cosy that SWSC has decided not only to run two races per day (back to back) rather than the traditional one, but also to extend the series until the 15th December (commencing 20 October).

All comers welcome in dinghies with a PY < 1250 (inc FF15's and K1's).

Come and have a go at winning the Martyn Shepherd Trophy (for 1st overall), with separate awards going to the overall winners of the series of race 1's, or race 2's.

Racing takes place every Sunday from 20 October to 15th December. Race one starts will be at midday.
