The inaugural National Championship for the new RS21 Class will be held over the weekend of 19th & 20th October 2019 as part of the 38th HYS Hamble Winter Series.

The Richards/Whitehouse design is a progressive yet simple and affordable boat which lends itself to club fleet purchase as well as individual ownership. This quickly growing fleet will share the racecourse with the already established J70 and SB20 fleets.

HYS Hamble Winter Series PRO Kathy Smalley is excited at the addition of the RS21 to the One Design Championships: "We have always encouraged the popular one designs to enter the HYS Hamble Winter Series, from the J24 through the Sigma's (33 & 38) Hunter 707 and later J's (70, 80 & 109) they have all competed in big numbers at the Series."

RS Sailing's Keelboat Manager Steve Dean is also looking forward to the event. "We are expecting 10 plus boats at the first Championship, and we are pleased the HYS Hamble Winter Series is supporting the Class" said Steve.

Sailors still wishing to enter the Championship may charter an RS21 here.

Entries for the RS21 National Championship 2019 and the other HYS Hamble Winter Series events can be made here.
