Autumn Events at Shustoke Sailing Club

The autumn weather seems upon us already and Shustoke Sailing Club has a busy few months of open events ahead, welcoming old and new fleets to our waters...
Shustoke Gauntlet (Sunday 1st September) - Re-scheduled from March we've got our fingers crossed that summer makes a reappearance for this hotly contested event!
Optimist Open (Saturday 14th September) - It's always great to see the kids out on the water for this one. There's always competitive racing showing off the up and coming talent who'll be giving the adults a run for their money soon...if they're not already! Or there's the more relaxed regatta fleet which is a good opportunity for kids just learning the ropes of sailing.
Topper Open (Saturday 21st September) - We're expecting a good number of boats to turn out for their End of Seasons. This will be a first time welcome for the Topper fleet and we're looking forward to seeing them out on the water.
Laser and Phantom Open (Sunday 22nd September) - Our home fleet of lasers have been building in numbers over the last few years, proving a popular boat with both new and old hand sailors. Combine this with the usual number of visiting boats and we're hoping for a good fleet out on the water again this year! The Phantoms usually have a close race and have their fingers crossed for a decent breeze!
Miracle Open (5th & 6th October) - With their Nationals just completed we're expecting this event to have just as a tight a finish, with their open results usually being decided on the last race! Guaranteed close racing with a meal out to celebrate the End of Seasons - what more could you want?
