The wind did not disappoint for day six at the 2019 Pan Am Games in Paracas, Peru. The southwesterly breeze filled in throughout the day ranging from 15-20 knots. All Canadian sailors hit the water for the last day of fleet racing with nothing but the medal race in mind.

Battling it out against the USA, Sarah Douglas has been working tirelessly this week to stay at the top of the fleet. Scoring two bullets in the last scheduled races, this Canadian sailor comments: "I'm very happy with today's racing! I gave it my all and emptied the tank. It was great to come out with two first, which makes it very interesting for tomorrow's race." Sitting in 2nd overall, tomorrow's medal race will determine where this athlete will stand on the podium.

In the 49er FX, Ali Ten Hove and Mariah Millen used the wind to their advantage scoring a 2nd and 3rd. Currently standing in 4th overall, this team with be fighting for a spot on the podium during tomorrow's medal race.

Here are the standings of athletes headed into medal race tomorrow:

  • Laser Radial - Sarah Douglas - 2nd
  • 49er - Alexander Heinzemann and Justin Barnes - 4th
