Cowes SailGP closely monitoring the forecast

10-11 August 2019
SailGP are working with relevant experts and authorities to closely monitor the weather forecast for this weekend's Cowes SailGP. While we are committed to running the races as scheduled if conditions safely permit, it is becoming increasingly likely that the expected adverse weather could impact our event, especially on Saturday.
However, at this time, the schedule remains as published. We will offer regular updates throughout the remainder of this week, with the intention of determining the status of Saturday racing by Friday. The safety of every athlete, fan and other stakeholder involved is of the utmost importance and we appreciate the patience of all impacted parties.
Much like our fans, we are very eager for SailGP's European debut, and are hopeful we will be able to showcase some incredible racing on the Solent this weekend.
As a result, both the King's Cup and the official SailGP Press Conference have moved to Thursday 8 August and we have added practise racing to the schedule tomorrow from 5.30 - 6.30 p.m.
Please see below for updated timings and we hope that you will still be able to join us for the press conference.
No other changes have been made at this time, however, as to be expected, the situation is fluid and additional updates will be shared regularly.
