Southampton Sailing Week are delighted to announce a partnership with BDB Pitmans who will be sponsoring a yacht for each day of this year's Regatta. The leading law firm, with offices in Cambridge, London, Reading and Southampton, will be competing in the Professional, Technology and Property cups on the 16th, 17th and 18th September 2019.

Southampton Sailing Week is entering its third year and will be bigger than ever before with six different cups taking up to ten yachts each across three days. Each day will begin at the Harbour Hotel in Ocean Village before heading onto the water on Sunsail F40s for a day of fast-paced racing, culminating in an awards ceremony and networking opportunity.

In previous years we have had teams full of total novices and yachts with many experienced sailors but your assigned Captain and First Mate will be able to teach anyone new to sailing the ropes.

BDB Pitmans was established in 2018 following a merger between legacy firms Bircham Dyson Bell (BDB) and Pitmans Law, and their Southampton office has recently moved to new premises in the heart of the city centre at Grosvenor House, Grosvenor Square.

Andrew Smith, Managing Partner at BDB Pitmans comments: "We are delighted to be supporting Southampton Sailing Week Regatta, a dynamic and positive week in the city's calendar which contributes to the local community."

Event Director for Sailing Week Chris Rees said: "We are thrilled to have BDB Pitmans on board and sponsoring yachts in three of the six cups. It's great to see them cement their presence in the community. We are set to have more yachts out over the three-day event than ever before for more competition and friendly rivalry."
