Heron Open at Yeadon Sailing Club

by Mary Dawson 16 Jun 2006 07:01 BST 11 June 2006

Denis and Jo Beard, in their new boat, proved a formidable combination, leaving Philip Lund, from Nantwich & Border Counties, to battle it out with Calum Polwart, from Derwent Reservoir S.C. for 2nd and 3rd places.

In the second race, Denis and Philip preserved the same format, but the fleet was joined by our very own Glenis Burgess, who managed to beat Calum for 3rd place.

The third race had a thrilling finish, with Philip finishing only inches behind Denis, and Glenis once again 3rd.

Overall Results:

1st 10070 Beard Denis (Yeadon S.C.)
2nd 10044 Lund Philip (Nantwich & Border Counties S.C.)
3rd 7741 Burgess Glenis (Yeadon S.C.)
4th 10092 Polwart Calum (Derwent Reservoir S.C.)
