Are you Absolutely Fabulous or Mickey Mouse?

With the Volvo Noble Marine RS200 National Championships less than two weeks away and the limit of 100 entries now reached, the all-important Harken Buddy List has been revealed.

The RS200 fleet pioneered the Buddy Group system and it is an integral part of the National Championships, designed to help sailors get to know each other and for the better sailors to help those with less experience to progress.

Each Harken Buddy Group has three pairs - usually one gold, one silver and one bronze boat. The Harken Buddy prize is one of the most sought-after prizes of the championships, calculated from the finishing positions plus the team Buddy Quiz score.

This year the Buddy Group names are in keeping with the theme for the Big Fancy Dress Party - Dynamic Duos. Sailors were asked, "Are you Absolutely Fabulous or Mickey Mouse?" and invited to find out by checking the list!

Royal Torbay Yacht Club have agreed to mark out the dinghy park with tally numbers, which correspond with the buddy groups, so sailors should be next to their buddies, a huge help in finding them in such a big fleet.
