The record for entry numbers at the Taittinger Royal Solent Yacht Club Regatta, in association with Rouse Limited, has been broken again for this year's event with 208 boats currently scheduled to race in the Western Solent on Saturday 27th and Sunday 28th July.

The South's most popular yacht club regatta has attracted entries from the length and breadth of the country including 26 X One Designs (XOD), 24 Folkboats and over 100 boats in IRC and NHC classes.

The regatta's fleet is split into 15 distinct classes ensuring the Royal Solent Yacht Club's Race Officers and on-the-water volunteers will be fully occupied and with over 1,500 competitors, friends and family expected, it is certain to be a busy and entertaining weekend at the Royal Solent.

Royal Solent Yacht Club Commodore, Anne Kyle stated: "We are delighted to be welcoming so many boats and competitors to our annual regatta and we look forward to some good racing over the weekend, as well as fun on the shore."
