This weekend (7-9 June), promises three days of 'Try Sailing' opportunities and family fun as the RYA return to Poole Harbour Boat Show in association with Sunseeker.

Get started on the water

Experts from the RYA will be on hand throughout the weekend, with all the information you need to get on the water this summer. Whether you're looking for open days and taster sessions, or want to find out more about RYA Training Courses, make sure to stop by (stand ER28) and talk to the team.

Visitors will also be able to take advantage of 'Try Sailing' opportunities at the show, with free 'on the water' sessions facilitated by Rockley Watersports, Dorset Marine Training and the Yacht Clubs of Poole. Simply turn up, book a slot and try your hand at sailing, powerboating, kayaking or paddle boarding.

On the stand

In addition to expert advice, visitors will also find competitions and interactive activities on the RYA stand. Experience the thrill of being out on the water without ever leaving dry land, with the 360 degrees 'On the Water' virtual reality sailing experience. Or guess the number of balls in the RS Tera for your chance to win a Towel Dryrobe, an Overboard Waterproof Bag and a 1 year RYA Family Membership.

RYA members will also be able to pick up an exclusive online discount code to receive 20% off all RYA publications, including the extensive range of eBooks.

Join the RYA

There are many great benefits of RYA membership, find out more at the RYA stand and take advantage of exclusive show offers.

As well as supporting our lobbying activities, as a member, you'll also have access to specialist cruising, legal and technical boating advice from in-house experts and exclusive offers from over 80 member reward partners, helping keep down the cost of your boating.

See you there!

"We are delighted to be returning to Poole Harbour Boat Show this weekend" commented RYA Shows and Promotions Manager, Celia Edgington. "The RYA has a wealth of advice and information available to visitors, from getting out on the water with the whole family, to finding the right training course. We'll also have some exciting activities on the stand."

Now in its fifth year, the three day boating festival will feature a spectacular showcase of yachts and motor cruisers, tall ships, marine equipment, clothing and watersports gear. With waterborne demos, taster sessions, live music and fireworks, there will be plenty to keep the whole family entertained!

Following a month of opportunities to 'Try Sailing in May' with the RYA Push the Boat Out campaign, the show marks the launch of the RYA's 'Try Sailing' initiative. Running from June to September, venues across the UK will be offering free or low cost opportunities to 'have a go' at sailing and windsurfing.
