Girton Sailing Club's season started in earnest this week following the previous week's interruption by storm Gareth who made his devastating appearance part way through the first race putting an end to any further sport that day.

St Patricks Day was a different story, still strong winds 20 30 mph plus but brighter conditions. It was not a day for the faint hearted though, and multiple capsizes for all was the order of the day. But, the exciting incredibly fast reaches made the odd one or two cold swims worthwhile!

Marcus Shaw sailing a Solution was first over the finish line in two of the three races but had to settle for second place to Alan Bishop's Solo after the PY handicap time differences were applied.

Overall Results:

1st Alan Bishop (Solo)
2nd Marcus Shaw (Solution)
3rd Steve Bishop (Solo)
4th Ed Johnson (Supernova)
5th Amy King (Supernova)
