After a successful inaugural year in 2018, Season 2 of The Beastie Tour is on its way.

If you've not heard, The Beastie Tour is an open sailing series based in the East of England. It is designed to create fun competitive regional sailing for "Transition" age sailors (approx. 13yrs to 17yrs), with plenty of focus on the fun social aspect appropriate for this age group.

All with the intention of allowing these sailors to stay engaged with the sport whilst continuing to develop their academic and other social interests.

The format is one day events of short, sharp racing with a fast turnaround sailed under PY General Handicap, followed by a chance to unwind in the club afterwards. This year we have events at some of the best sailing venues on the East Coast.

The series will conclude with a celebration party on the evening of the Blackwater Beastie, and Blackwater SC have invited competitors and their families to camp at the club, so you might want to clear your diary for the Sunday as well...

Dates for 2019:

  • 20th April - Wroxham Beastie - Hosted by NBYC
  • 11th May - Burnham Beastie - Hosted by RCYC
  • 22nd June - Mersea Beastie - Hosted by Dabchicks SC
  • 6th July - Blackwater Beastie (inc. Series party and camping) - Hosted by Blackwater SC

Why not get a gang together from your club and come along?
