Zhik are previewing their new breathable Drysuit for adults and junior sailors at the RYA Dinghy Show. Further to Zhik's extensive work on dry smocks with durable neck and wrist seals for ocean racing, the new breathable Drysuit is an obvious next step to benefit small boat sailors.
These high-vis neck and wrist seals are more comfortable and durable than traditional latex. An evolution of Zhik's composite neoprene seals, the seals were extensively trialled and put through the rigours of harsh ocean conditions during the Volvo Ocean Race 2017-18. Tested on board Dongfeng Race Team, and team AkzoNobel the seals were a significant development for the Isotak X Ocean Smock.
Hi-visibility upper body panelling means Drysuit wearers can be spotted more easily both on and in the water. Made from a 3-layer, highly waterproof and highly breathable fabric, the Drysuit is designed with a racing cut for a full range of movement, enhancing your race performance and all-day comfort.
A light, very flexible waterproof YKK AQUASEAL® front zip keeps you dry and reduces bulk across the front of the suit for easier hiking and movement on board. Internally, all the seams are fully waterproof, and further reinforced on critical seam and high movement areas. Adjustable suspenders (braces) allow customisation for torso length, and there is an internal pocket too
Durable fabric socks are fitted with ankle adjustment tabs for a secure and neat fit, with a generous cargo pocket on the thigh for race accessories. A 1000 denier reinforcement is used on high wear areas, making an overall highly robust Drysuit for frostbite racing and wet weather sailing.
