Eastwell Cooler Series at Sussex Yacht Club - Update

by Steve Popple 8 Feb 2019 19:43 GMT

The annual Eastwell Cooler consists of 16 races held throughout January and February over eight Sundays. 15 boats are contesting this year's Eastwell Cooler in the protected waters of Southwick Canal.

International athlete Tyler Harmsworth leads after ten races in his Laser. Fellow Laser sailor Pete Snowdon has impressed whilst last year's winner Steve Southall (Laser) is now beginning to show form.

If windy during the remaining six races skilful Chris Hodge (Sailability Access dinghy) can also be expected to excel. With just 11 points separating the top five places Race Officer Des Silverson may need to be vigilant on the start line!
