Itching to get back on the water? Don't worry, it's only a few weeks until South Shields Spring Splash series starts!

Early season handicap series every Sunday from 10th February to 17th March (six weekends).

Two races back to back each weekend starting at 11am. Average lap handicap racing. Prizes for top three.

We have good launching, a large sailing area within the piers of the Tyne Mouth, all the challenges of tides and waves and good hot showers when you get back in.

Entry fee for visitors £25/£20 double hander/single hander, £20/£15 under 21 includes boat storage in our secure compound at the club for the duration of the series.

The fantastic event at South Shields Sailing Club concludes Thursday, it is very rare in the 400 fleet that a bar has stopped sailing, but with a very strong north easterly wind and the tide flooding out of the harbour, a large confused sea had built up at the entrance.
