In 2019 the Supernova National Championships will be held in Paignton from the 28th – 30th June and the class are aiming to hit the 100+ entries mark once again.

As this is the associations biggest event of the year a very generous early bird entry will be available. Early entry gives you a £25 discount on the entry price and a chance of winning one of several prizes in the Prize Draws. The prizes have not yet been decided, but they should be very appealing for the earliest entries.

Enter by 30th November 2018 to get the best entry package! Discounted entries run until 31 January 2019.

For those of you that don't know Paignton, is a fantastic place to sail situated on the English Riviera in Torbay. The Supernovas had a fantastic event there in 2015 and we are very excited to go back to this friendly venue.

Launching/recovery is off a beach with good boat storage on Paignton Green. Expect even more improvements to the very popular buddy groups, so even if you haven't attended before you will be supported by some more experienced helms.

In addition to what will no doubt be some amazing sailing, there will be a Commodore's buffet on the Friday evening to ensure everyone has a good time. The Nationals isn't just about the top few sailors, we want everyone to have a great time and really enjoy the social side of things. We hope this encourages some new faces to attend, regardless of their sailing ability. There will also be tickets available for other halves, again we hope this encourages a bigger and more inclusive event.

More details will follow on the class website. Please visit www.supernovadinghy.org/nationals-2019

Supernovas at Cotswold
It was an 'eyes out of the boat' sort of day 25 entries including 11 visitors were greeted with sunny spells but a cold easterly wind which at Cotswold means big wind shifts, so the race officer Steve Crocker did a great job of setting a nice course with two beats and a variety of runs and reaches.
