The 420 class are looking forward to two busy November weekends at Grafham Water Sailing Club.
On 10 and 11 November the class coaching team, led by Tim Rush, will be working with helms and crews at the latest in a series of Open Coaching sessions,
providing experienced and ‘new to class’ pairings with the chance to work on their rig settings and boat handling techniques, and also gaining experience at the venue where the End of Season Championships will be held the following weekend. The class is keen to focus training on venues where the fleet will
race and this theme continues through the spring of 2019 with a busy programme of coaching taking in Rutland, Lymington and Weymouth. The coaching sessions are open sessions and can be booked on line via the class website, www.gbr420.uk.
The following weekend the fleet will sail for the End of Season Championships and if the competition at the recent Inland Championship event is anything to go by this is going to provide some very close and competitive racing. Jack Lewis and his crew, Fraser Hemmings, will be looking to replicate their win at the Inlands but there were plenty of pairings snapping at their heels at the Inlands so it’s all to play for, and that goes right through the fleet.
