The pioneering international event creator, organiser and rights-holder, OC Sport, is thrilled to welcome Element Sports Group to the Extreme Sailing Series™ as a new partner for the final two Acts of the 2018 global tour.

A newly formed entity in the Element International Group of companies, headquartered in Beverly Hills, California, Element Sports Group will first join the Series as an Act Partner in San Diego, where they will sponsor the Kite Boarding Invitational and the Chat with Champions.

The Element Sports Kite Boarding Invitational will take place daily from 18-21 October before and after the San Diego event's headline GC32 racing. The Chat with Champions, presented by Element Sports Group, will take place at 17:30 on Friday 19 October, exposing young San Diegans to world-class, elite level sailors, hoping to inspire the next generation.

Following Extreme Sailing Series San Diego, presented by SAP, Element Sports Group will become Host Venue Partner for Los Cabos, Mexico – the double-points grand finale of this year's edge-of-your-seat Extreme Sailing Series, taking place from 29 November to 2 December.

Speaking of the new partnership, Element Sports Group co-founder John LaViolette said:

"This fantastic opportunity to take part in this exciting racing circuit fits well with our long-term business strategy, and two of our co-Founders at Element share an interest in sailboat racing. Element Sports Group focuses on the future ownership of several sports teams, and we have a global streaming sports network (Element Sports Networks) in the pipeline for next year. We hope to continue our relationship with OC Sport and the Extreme Sailing Series into 2019, and we are excited to work with this truly unique, world-class sailing event."

Scott Over, Extreme Sailing Series Commercial Director, is thrilled to welcome Element Sports Group onboard, adding to the Series' current line-up of impressive partners.

"Having been the leading global Stadium Racing circuit over the last twelve years, the Extreme Sailing Series remains an attractive commercial prospect. The event offers a unique package of an excellent media offering, guest sailing and corporate hospitality, and racing that's geared up for sailors and spectators alike. This offering has evolved with the Series over time, allowing commercial partners to continually utilise our platform for their own benefits and successes. This partnership we now have with Element Sports Group is an important milestone for the Series. We look forward to supporting them with their new sports business strategy, and having them join us on the next step in our journey."
