Hall Spars NZ update

The fit-out department at Hall Spars NZ have had a busy September finishing off and shipping out six projects in the space of two weeks. Two OceanFurl booms were shipped, bound for new performance cruising yachts in Europe. One for the ninth Oyster 885 and the other for the first of the new Swan 65 range, of which there are three currently in build.

Hall Spars NZ also shipped two TF10 masts at the end of last month, headed to newly built yachts in Australia and Europe. The TF10 yachts are an exciting new foiling trimaran class that makes foiling sailing simple and available to club racing sailors. One customer, a car enthusiast, requested a special paint job using Mercedes custom paint colours.  Despite being departure from the norm, the paint team handled it brilliantly with a fantastic looking end result.

PAC52 CUP RESULTS

Congratulations to the three Hall Spars rigged PAC52 Class yachts; Rio, Invisible Hand and Badpak, who took all three spots on the PAC52 Cup podium last weekend.

The Cup was the last event of the 2018 PAC52 Series and Rio asserted her dominance to claim the top spot, taking five out of seven bullets. Whilst Invisible Hand and Badpak battled off the challenge from Interlodge to finish second and third respectively. All three of the yacht sports Hall Spars masts and booms and Future Fibres ECsix rigging.

After this result it was runner-up Frank Slootman’s Invisible Hand that claimed the overall win in the 5-event season series!

H20 TAKES TO THE MAXI ROLEX PODIUM

The Maxi Yacht Rolex Cup, the pinnacle event in the maxi yacht calendar, took place at the start of September and Hall Spars were delighted to see the one of our rigged yachts on the winner’s podium.

In Mini Maxi Group 2, the class of smallest boats competing in Cup, Riccardo de Michele’s Vallicelli 80 H20 held a perfect scoreline in all six races, to win the class a day in advance. The yacht was helped by her proven performance Hall Spars rig.
