2018 International 14 World Championships at Richmond Yacht Club - Day 5

Lots of worried faces in the boat park - it looked windy, very windy... But PRO, Del Olsen, assured the International 14 skiff fleet that everything would settle down. Local knowledge proved right and a decisive fourth race for the Germans.

Georg Borkenstein and 'Big' Eike Dietrich lead from start to finish with the Brits and Australians, Daniel Holman/ Alex Knight and Lindsay Irwin/ Andrew Perry respectively taking second and third.

Lay Day Tuesday so plenty of boat repairs, resting weary muscles (and some heads). Race Five starts Wednesday with plenty more action on San Francisco Bay.

At 89 Tiercel proved that old boats can still compete and win Vintage and Classic Int 14's came to Rickmansworth Sailing Club over the weekend of 17th/18th May to race for two trophies. Looked past the December bliss to go sailing! Following a weekend blown away by Storm Bert, the Perry Pot was back again.
