A brand new yachting and boating lifestyle festival, combining the Thailand Yacht Show and the Phuket RendezVous in early January next year, promises to become one of the region’s biggest.
The combined experience and expertise of Verventia Pte Ltd, the organiser of the Singapore and Thailand Yacht Shows, and Asia RendezVous Pte Ltd, organisers of the Phuket, Penang and Singapore RendezVous events, is expected to result in the biggest and most ambitious marine industry event on Phuket, attracting hundreds of ultra-high-net-worth individuals into the market.
The merger followed calls from the industry to hold fewer and more well-organised yacht shows after many felt the industry was stretched too thinly over several competing shows. With the merger, the organisers will consolidate their strengths into one premier show on Phuket. Given its size, Thailand Yacht Show & RendezVous is likely to incorporate a number of marinas island-wide, becoming the most comprehensive marine industry event on Phuket to date.
The first edition of the Thailand Yacht Show & RendezVous will take place from 10-13 January 2019 during the high season when Phuket is typically heaving with activity and visitors from all over the world. The show is backed by the Royal Thai government as well as the major industry players, and both organisers have held successful events on the island previously, attracting yachts from some of the world’s leading brokers and manufacturers, including numerous Thailand premieres.
The Thailand Yacht Show & RendezVous 2019 will feature both on-land and in-water components, including interactive displays, exhibitions, workshops, demonstrations and panel discussions. The first part of the Christofle Yacht Style Awards 2019, which recognises the best of the yachting industry, will also take place during the event, with the second part being staged during the Singapore Yacht Show & RendezVous in April 2019.
Thailand Yacht Show & RendezVous 2019 is expected to attract the ultimate players in luxury lifestyle who will display high-end products and services to Asia’s growing population of ultra-high-net-worth-individuals. Visitors will be able to view some of the region’s most luxurious yachts as well as meet with yacht brokers, high-end property developers, bespoke travel organisers and specialists within the hospitality and food and beverage industries. A selection of supercars, the latest gadgets and luxury timepieces will also be on display.
