Island Sailing Club Tuesday Evening Series - Race 11

by Ray Plummer, Race Officer 28 Jun 2018 11:32 BST 26 June 2018

With temperatures rivalling those in the Mediterranean, a fair breeze and good tides, Race 11 of the Island Sailing Club's Evening Race Series made the Solent a great place to be.

Sailing out towards Osborne Bay and then along Cowes Green to KMS buoy proved something of a different course than usually seen.

With Cruisers, Sonars, Flying Fifteen's and the iconic X Boats there was a good mix of craft taking to the water.

The ebbing tide and east south easterly wind gave a challenging situation but boats were soon returning from West Ryde Middle with spinnakers flying.
