As part of events to celebrate its 50th Anniversary in 2019, Draycote Water Sailing Club is inviting sailors from all over the Midlands to take part in a Midlands Champion Invitation Race, in almost exactly a year from now on Saturday 22 June 2019.

This day will be one of a number of events the Club is planning through the summer months to celebrate 50 years of sailing.

Features of the whole day event will include:

  • Free entry
  • Varied and competitive races
  • Special Commodores' Race for all club commodores
  • Evening Barbecue/outside caterers & Ceilidh
  • Selection of prizes for different categories
  • Take part in Club Racing on the Sunday
DWSC is inviting all clubs in the Midlands to send two or more boats to what we hope will be a great day of fun and celebrations and enable us to herald a Midlands Champion for 2019.

At this stage we are not limiting entries from any one club, though our aim is to have entrants from as many Midlands clubs as possible.

We hope Midlands clubs will notify their members of this opportunity with more details to be announced nearer the time. To register interest and receive further information when available (and for any queries), contact: Rebecca Owen, Club Administrator, Draycote Water SC. Email or tel 01788 811153.
