Get out and volunteer. Its National Volunteer Week and this week's theme is 'Give a little. Change a lot'. The week-long celebration is a chance for us to acknowledge all the contributions that our nation's volunteers have provided.

Volunteers are integral to sailing. Volunteers touch many facets of our sport, from helping to run and manage yacht clubs to volunteer race officers and club judges, to supporting organisations like Sailability that help people of all abilities get out sailing.

Looking for something to do this weekend? Try volunteering at your local Yacht Club or Sailability branch. Or, check out some of the latest crewing opportunities available from around the country.

Berserker, Portland, VIC
Mackay VX One, 19foot, PYC

Berserker is a VX One - a one design that is relatively easy to sail and can be sailed competitively by two or three people. It has a light weight hull and gets up and planes off wind, characteristically comparable to many planning hull dinghies.

They are looking for 1 or 2 crew for the upcoming VX One winter nationals in Brisbane. This regatta includes 11 races over 3 days starting June 9 through to June 11.

Further ahead next season, they are planning to do the Nationals in Geelong over the Australia day weekend as well as some racing in Geelong through the season.

Hot Chipps – Sandringham, VIC
Beneteau Oceanus, 41.1foot, SYC

Hot Chipps just completed the 52 mile Apollo Bay Race, and are currently looking for some blokes to help balance out their predominantly female team for the Wednesday Wonders races at SYC.

In the summer months, they do Thursday twilights and also enjoy attending Geelong Festival of Sails.

Winning is good and they have had a good share of success, but more interested in making sure sailing is fun.

Jose Maria - New South Wales
Oyster Sloop, 57foot

Jose Maria is planning a trip to the South Pacific island of Vanuatu and are looking for crew to assist with the delivery from Sydney.

It will be a great mileage trip opportunity for crew.
