XOD Saturday Series at Royal Lymington Yacht Club - Race 2

A very light mainly northerly breeze and an ebb tide tested both the competitors and the race team.

Ibex [Paul Woodman] led off the start line on a two sail reach towards the first mark 'E' but was overtaken by both Lucrezia [Ado Jardine] and XL [Rory Paton] who both managed to get their spinnakers to fly.

Then followed a short beat to 'Inner Pylewell' which proved to be very testing, particularly over the final 50 meters with frequent calms and puffs from almost anywhere. Ibex rounded the mark first followed by XL and Xray [Robin Balme]. There followed a run and reach down tide to 'Plus' mark where the RO [John Whyte] made the wise decision to shorten the race.
