Wayfarer Scottish Championships at Loch Lomond Sailing Club

by Ken Cameron 4 Sep 2000 08:50 BST

2nd - 3rd September

Fine weather greeted the Wayfarers which contested for the Scottish Title at Loch Lomond Sailing Club. Making the long journey up from Hayling Island Ian Porter and Kevan Gibb had to wait until the leeward mark in the first race to get to the front of the fleet. Once there, this was to be their position for the rest of the Regatta. After three straight wins the championship was theirs, and Ian left the rest of us to struggle round in very light winds for the last race.

Overall Results:

1st Ian Porter & Kevan Gibb
2nd Tim & Ruth Jones
3rd Kim & Michael Cameron
