Iona Reid and Popcorn are raising money for Water Aid and Guide Dogs © Charity Sailing Challenge

YachtsandYachting.com would like to draw your attention to the excellent efforts of a young sailor

My name is Iona Reid and I am doing a Charity Sailing Challenge. This challenge will take place the entire 2018 sailing season. I am looking to start by the end of March and sail until Christmas. I am hoping you would like to support a girl and her dog to raise money for two great charities: Water Aid and Guide Dogs.

I am a keen sailor and started sailing five years ago at the age of 7. I mainly sail at my club, but this year I am looking to sail away more often. My crew mate is my dog Popcorn, she will sail with me on some races, if the weather is good. I will sail up to three times a week and hopefully more, I will also do special events such as courses, junior sessions, and casual sailing.

I am not asking for your support for free, I am willing to work for your donation. I will advertise your company in the following ways:

  • T-Shirt with your company Logo on it over my wet suit worn during a race
  • Sticker (supplied by you) on my dinghy
  • Sticker on my helmet (worn on windy days)
  • Baseball cap with company logo (worn on non-windy days)
  • If you have stickers that will go on a sail I would be willing to put them on.
  • I will also mention you my website, Instagram, Twitter, Snapchat and Facebook page.

My website is sites.google.com/view/csctwenty18 and there is a leader board showing who has supported me, so I can add your name or logo to it.

We are located next to the Attenborough Nature Reserve; every weekend hundreds of families, dog walkers, runners and cyclists pass by us, so they will see me wearing your logo.

I will be visiting the RYA Dingy Show on the 3rd of March and if you wish to speak to me please contact and let me know your stand number and contact name.

Please look at my pictures and see how just wearing your t-shirt or other clothing will help advertise your company.

If you have any questions please let me know. If you wish to support this event in a different way or give me some advice please let me know.

The donation page is www.justgiving.com/teams/CSCTwenty18

Please donate a little or as much as you want. Every penny will help somebody. Thank you very much.
