Good news - the Platu Championship of Thailand 2018 just added a fourth event to the series. Thailand's premier summer regatta, Phuket Race Week, joins the Platu family.

The full Championship set now involves:

  • The Transworld Regatta, 1-4 March 2018
  • The Coronation Cup (Top of The Gulf Regatta), 27 Apr-01 May 2018
  • Phuket Race Week, 18-22 July 2018
  • The Platu Cup, 13-15 October 2018
All events take place in Pattaya except Phuket Race Week.

For anyone who has not raced at Cape Panwa Hotel Phuket Race Week, it provides some of the best social evenings of any event on the calendar. "They were still cracking open the 'free' ice cold beers at midnight last time I was there. Great sailing area and all round well organised regatta." Check out phuketraceweek.com 18-22nd July.

At Phuket Raceweek ALL Platus will be fitted with identical sails - a truly ABSOLUTE One Design Class.

Charter cost including sails is only THB79,000.

With the inclusion of this fourth event, Championship results for the year will be calculated on a crew's best three events.
