Love Sailing? The experts share their most loved moments

We asked some of the Gill Race Team members about their most loved moments in sailing. Here’s what they had to say... |
| | Harrison: "My best moment was winning two races at the RS Feva Nationals last year at Torbay. It was pretty breezy and our downwind legs were fast." Fergus: "Taking part in the RS Tera Worlds in Santona, Spain in 2016. I did well, finishing 5th in the Sport rig but it was the whole experience – their venue was beautiful and we were able to cool off by swimming and diving off the quay after sailing every day."
Harrison: "The Thermoshield Top, because it is an additional warm layer; the neck is fleece lined which makes it very cosy and chafing less likely." Fergus: "The Thermoskin Top, which can be worn with many different combinations of wetsuits or Wetsuit Shorts, according to the temperature." |

| | "Sailing in an invitational Moth event in Bermuda in 2016. The competition wasn’t quite going to plan but somehow I managed to turn it around, things started to click, and I ended up finishing top 10."
"The Compressor Vest has a snug fit and allows me to be agile around the boat, especially during tacking. The Speedskin Suit has reinforcement in the right places and means minimal wear when rubbing against deck. The Neoprene Gloves keep my hands warm throughout winter sailing. It means I don’t have to concentrate on keeping them moving and instead can focus on sailing and the Championship Gloves are perfect for summer sailing." |

| | "My most memorable experience from the time I have been in the Gill Race Team was the Optimist selections in 2016. …I moved up to fifth overall and went to represent Britain in Portugal at the Optimist World Championships! This motivated me to carry on with Optimists to try and represent Britain again."
"The Thermoskin Suit helps me to keep warm over the winter. It is extremely warm and versatile. I normally wear this in conjunction with the Hydrophobe Trousers and Top which help completely insulate me in the harsh winter. The Aquatech Shoes are also very comfy and are one of my most worn pieces of kit from Gill." |

| | "My best experience so far, was my sixth place in the 35th Lake Garda meeting Optimist in Italy. It was a really special race, more than 1000 boats from many countries of the world. My biggest achievement so far apart from the sporting achievements is to have the support of Gill, I am very proud to be a Gill Race Team girl."
"The Junior Pro Drysuit. The best to navigate in the harsh winter conditions. We love the the Junior Aquatech Shoes. It really is a pleasure to use them during navigation and very easy to fit." |
