Promotion to attract new members at Hayling Island Sailing Club

Ever wondered what goes on down the causeway at Sandy Point? Thinking of joining a sailing club in 2018? Looking for an activity that will please all the family? Interested in being part of a friendly club with activities and opportunities for all ages?

Why not come and find out about all the activities, events and initiatives going on at Hayling Island Sailing Club at our Open Day taking place Monday 28th May 2018. There's the added incentive of a waiver on joining fees for anyone taking out membership before 4th June 2018, representing a saving of £350.

There's never been a better time to join Hayling Island Sailing Club and you don't have to own a boat to be a member. HISC offers some of the finest sailing, shore and social facilities anywhere in the country and sits in a stunning position at the entrance to Chichester Harbour with access to the water at all states of the tide. The club supports a wide variety of activities including dinghy training, racing and sailing, a very active youth sailing programme, windsurfing, paddle-boarding and kayaking and a friendly and active cruiser and social sailing calendar. With stunning views over Chichester Harbour, the club has wide and welcoming balconies, beaches and picnic areas as well as a barista café, large bar, restaurant, and snack bar plus comfortable onsite accommodation, modern changing rooms, meeting rooms and training facilities.

For families wishing to take up an activity that will embrace all ages, HISC offers fun and engaging water-based events for toddlers through to adults, a special Women on Water initiative as well as an exciting and competitive dinghy racing and cruiser scene for anyone willing to give it a go. The club has an extensive hire boat fleet of over 30 boats to make access to the water as easy and hassle-free as possible; everything from children's boats to family picnic boats and brand new racing dinghies are available to rent for the day.

HISC is waiving its joining fee to anyone who signs up for membership before 4th June 2018 offering a one-off saving of £350. The club will also will be opening its doors on Monday 28th May 2018 for a day of fun, activities, food and music for anyone to come down, see the facilities, meet the members, get on the water and enjoy our restaurants, bars and stunning surroundings.

Commenting on the announcement, David Nicholls, Chair of HISC Membership Committee said, "HISC is a very special and welcoming club offering water-based activities for people of all ages and abilities. The club has exceptional facilities and opportunities for families, individuals and young people in terms of life skills, peer groups, support and friendship. We are really passionate to offer this opportunity to anyone thinking of taking up sailing or watersports and hope that by waiving our joining fee and arranging this Open Day we will welcome many new people to our wonderful club."
