A North West force 2/3 blowing down the lake greeted the sailors contesting the Speed Sails Double Chine Enterprise open at Brookvale Park.

In the first race Anthony Clay & James Holmes (Soulsailor RA) went into the lead only to be caught on the second lap by Nigel & Richard pepperdine (Frampton SC). The final lap saw Steve & Dan Venables (Shustoke SC) take the lead to take line honours with Clay & Holmes second. Paul Young & Julie Moore (Brookvale & Sparkhill) came third.

In the second race Clay & Holmes followed by Young & Moore led the fleet up the first beat. After a mistake and penalty from Young & Moore together with Clay & Holmes pulled away and the Pepperdines moved into second place, which they held to the finish with Steve & Dan third.

This left the result wide open for the final race. Once again Clay & Holmes with Young & Moore cross tacked up the beat with Young & Moore rounding first. On the run down the lake Clay & Holmes took the lead and Steve & Dan rounded in second place. A strong gust caught Steve & Dan causing a capsize and put them out of the running. On the penultimate beat Young & Moore regained the lead only to lose out on the final beat with a covering error with the finish line in site, enabling Clay & Holmes to win the race and the meeting.
