Foiling has exploded in popularity over these past few years so we thought it was about time we implemented a foiling boat into SailX in order to provide the 99% of the sailing world who have never foiled the chance to experience this new form of racing.

We are delighted to announce our new high-performance 'Foiler', representing the state-of-the art in foiling cats (even foiling through tacks), and our new 'Foiling Course', based on the reaching-start courses seen in the ACWS and ESS.

The result is a fascinating insight into this new and very different form of racing.

The First 'SailX Intergalactic Class Championships'

Following the launch of the new boat and course, we are also announcing today a new major event - 'SailX Intergalactic Class Championships’.

These championships will take place over 5 weeks, starting on Monday Oct 31st and will concluding with six single regattas over weekend Dec. 3rd-4th to determine the best SailXers in each of the six SailX Classes: Laser, Cat, Skiff, BigBoat, Teamboat and now Foiler.
