Platu 25 World Championship at Brunnen, Switzerland - Day 2

by Platu 25 Class 25 Aug 2016 12:37 BST 20-27 August 2016

Falkone have taken the lead after the second day of the Platu 25 World Championship that is taking place in Brunnen, Switzerland, until Saturday. Eric Monnin's team won another race and had a 4th place, moving to 7 points overall. The Swiss boat is closely followed by EUZ II Villa Schinosa with 13 points. In third place is the Swiss Superbusi. La Burra lost two positions and is now in 4th.

Then we can find Jerry Speed, who goes up to fifth place, overtaking the Australian Easy Tiger, "On the first day we were faster.", admits the Australian owner Chris Way, "We are getting used to the conditions of the lake, very different from what we are used to. We have already raced in other parts of the world but here we have found a really high level. We are here to improve our skills and to compete with the best teams. There are very good sailors, everyone works hard. We are really happy to stay here and we will try to get in the top ten, it would be a good result. Of course we will try to do something more but it will be very difficult to finish at the top five."

Between 10th place and 12th position we find Italian teams such as Bambolina, Pirillina and Five For Fighting 3, that got a DSQ in the last race yesterday. Until 18th position there are all Swiss boats, with the exception of the German Conquest B52: Ursa Minor with 50 points, followed by Connection, Conquest B52, El Miracle, Aramis and Let's Fats. In the final places there are Kong Bambino Viziato, To Be Advised and Phoenix.
